The Amherst Hockey Association is an all
volunteer run organization. There are many ways that you can help maintain and
build our association.No specific skills are required to help. You do not need
to know hockey to lend a hand. We'll help you find the right role. AHA Board
Members: Any parent or guardian with a skater in the program may run
for a position on the Board. Elections are held at the annual AHA meeting in
early May. You may submit your name to any current board member or the night of
the meeting. 5 members are elected each year for a 3 year term. Board meetings
are held monthly (except July). The 15 member Board sets policy and oversees
the AHA organization. We also have numerous positions that do not require
elections. Some of these are: Registrar, Scheduler, Team Representatives,
Coaches, Fund Raiser (i.e. Sponsorship, Candy, etc), Event Coordinators (i.e.
Banquet, Social, Pictures, etc.), Coffee Table Coodinator and many other areas.
